If like me you live in the country, the world does look blue and green. To fulfil Tina’s Lens-Artist Challenge, looking at the cool palette of blue and green, today I’ve rarely looked further than a few miles round our house. All I’m doing today is presenting a gallery of quiet images from the natural world. Most are from the gardens of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, and from the Yorkshire Dales. I’ve ventured to the North Sea, and to the Aquarium of the Horniman Museum. That’s about it. I think I qualify for Debbie’s Six Word Saturday too.

Rural blue and green- what’s not to love?

Love this, Margaret. The clump of trees on the hill and the moss-covered tree trunk with the young tree are my favourites. And all within a short distance. And it’s all part of the natural landscape.

You’re not the only one to vote for the tree trunk shot, and it’s a favourite of mine too.

That aquarium blue makes a startling contrast to the other blues in your collection, Margaret. It is very beautiful, ethereal. I love your other photos too, Margaret. The grass is greener in Yorkshire. 🙂

The rain is wetter in Yorkshire, Tracy ;). That aquarium is quite something. Just mesmerising.

This is a blue and green time of year – the sea was blue today and the trees have that fresh green with their new leaves.

The Aquarium at the Horniman looks like a still straight from a sci-fi film or possibly a Chagall piece of glass. Quite stunning.
