Monday Miniatures

This last weekend saw the annual Masham Steam Engine and Fair Organ Rally take place. Unaccountably, we’d never been before. But at 6.00 in the evening we turned up to watch these lovingly restored vehicles parade through the town. And before the Parade Proper started, these rather charming miniature engines had their moments of fame.

The parade of the Real Steam Engines is for another day.

    1. This dates from a taime when I thought Mastodon would overtake Twitter. Same sort of thing. I’ve removed everything now, since I don’t use social media. Don’t know why I had them in the first place!

  1. What a fun sight and it does bring out the inner child! I know, strange how one suddenly realises that there are places or events that have always been missed! Glad you caught up with this one, Margaret! 😀

  2. What a fascinating history, Margaret. My husband and I enjoyed your photos and the link to the Masham Steam Rally. What a brilliant history! You reminded me of a wonderful memory of riding the North Yorkshire Moors Railway between Pickering and Whitney.

      1. I didn’t realize how much smoke would be accompanying this ride, Margaret. Hercule Poirot movies rarely show the smoke (only steam) and there is no smell of smoke coming through the screen! LOL
