Season’s greetings to you and yours and really, really hoping, with fingers crossed, for a Happier New Year for everyone (however there will be no Brexit coins in this house!)
Thank you Carol. One of the small silver linings to appreciate weekly is a post from you – always interesting and with great photos. These posts must take ages to prepare, but a lot of us value them – thanks.
Thank you for your ever so kind comment Margaret. I learn a lot when reading around for some of my posts, which I enjoy – although I realize that it might be a not-so-complicated displacement activity 🙂 I enjoy your always interesting and enjoyably eclectic postings and your photographs too.
I hope you had a Great British Christmas, and had a better experience than Team Barcelona, who have just stepped out of a train so crowded they were obliged to stand, sardine-like for the whole three hour Yorkshire to London journey.
Oh, glory be! Done that 😂. Currently on an 11km walk which is getting longer and longer. Found a lovely cake and wine stop though and it’s 20C and Spring here in the Algarve so who’s complaining? 💕
Re the comment issue on your recent post, have you checked the comment box is ticked on the post itself? I’m kind of assuming you have since you said you’ve looked at the obvious. Other place is your settings and sharing options I think. Doing this on my phone so difficult to check settings.
I’ve looked and looked, and can’t find a ‘comment’ box on the post itself. Everything in settings suggests the comments feature ought to be showing. Thanks for trying – I feel really stuck.
I use WP admin and the classic editor to create posts. If you select wpadmin / posts / all posts then at the top is screen options. Click on that and make sure comments is ticked and then press apply.
Thanks. I seem to have got there in the end, but it’s not that easy is it. Thanks for your Tech Support – WP seems to have got rid of its ‘Happiness Engineers’….
… and to you too! xx

Thank you Agnes. And to you and yours as well. It’s hard to be optimistic about the coming months, but we’ll have to find cheer where we can.
