Its gone back to nicely moderate here. Currently 18. You lot and your demands for colour! Anyone would think you hadn’t been brought up when b/w came as standard!
It’s been perfectly beautiful here in the States in Michigan, but we live somewhat north. I think Arizona and states out there have been very hot. I wish we could keep our temps year around! 50’s at night and 70s in the daytime. Let me go look up what that is in Celsius. 50F = 10C. 70F = 21C.
That looks very refreshing and inviting – just what I need 🙂 It’s still in the high twenties in London and forecast to go back over thirty tomorrow! I see others are yearning for blues and greens, and I agree those are cooling shades, but the stillness of these reflections is also calming and cool-looking.
It does look great Margaret, but yeah, it is cold here in Melbourne, winter has hit. I hope it helps you guys with the heat. Take care and stay out if the sun Margaret.
This really is an astonishing image, Margaret. So many shades of grey AND all the different textures. Most absorbing.

Thanks Tish. It was one of those moments when you realise that the only photographic response is to point and click!

It’s a lovely shot, but I’m afraid grey does not cool me down. I want green! (and ice)

I’d add a touch of blue too, Jude. Still blazing away here, Margaret 😎 Not complaining you understand, but … 🥵

Remeber when all illustrations (photos anyway) were b/w? Or are you willfully forgetting?😉

Only black and white photos I recall were of family, no-one took photos of flowers or gardens.

I was thinking more of books and things – we didn’t have a camera that I recall. I remember my favourite natural history book was black and white

You’re right. That sounds perfect. And thanks for doing the looking up. I was brought up on Fahrenheit, but no longer really remember it.

A wonderful photo Margaret. I agree with Tish about the shades of grey and how they blend so well

Well, thanks Brain. As you seem to have read the comments, you can see I’ve been getting a lot of stick. I now know who my friends are!
