I thought of taking a walk, and pointing out all the textures I noticed, from moss to tree bark to muddy paths to rocky outcrops. I thought of showcasing an example of every different texture I could think of. But in the end I settled for this: a random gallery of Texture, in all its hard, soft, smooth, rough, grainy and prickly variety.

For Anne’s Lens Artists Photo Challenge: Texture
A lovely display of the various textures – hard, soft, smooth, rough, grainy and prickly. Love the rusty boat and the tree. I’m always on the look out for good textures when out for a walk with the camera. In Nature, you can never count on what you will find but interesting textures are everywhere.

You most certainly nailed the challenge Margaret

Lovely shots, particularly the pebbles and climber against the wall. The crumbling gargoyle rather sums up how I feel about the world currently.

So you did, Margaret. And a very nice gallery it is, too xx

What marvellous randoms! LOVE the old rusting ship (but you knew I would!] and Miss Wilmott’s Ghost (or similar) is always a winner…

A fascinating gallery it is too. I especially like the header though.
