On Thursday I walked the Thames Path from Woolwich via the Thames Barrier and the Millennium Dome to Cutty Sark in Greenwich. A story for another day. Today I’ll just show a view across the Thames, as enjoyed by two picnickers on a bench in the gentle shadow of the buildings near the Dome, especially selected for Jude’s Bench Challenge, and Becky’s NovemberShadows.

Nice one! I bet they didn’t walk as far as you xx

What with the walk too and from the path, I did 9 miles that day. Not bad for tarmac. xx

I like this photo Margaret 😀
“Let’s go down the river for a while”
“That sounds good, there’s heaps to see down there”
“Remember the last time we were down there?” “We had those birds eating out of our hands”
“Oh yeah, hanging out with a couple of birds”
“I wonder whatever happened to those pigeons?”
How straight the background is and to how folded the front subjects are. That phone slump. The one in blue could be asleep 😂

😉Asleep or bored? Who knows? Oh yes, lots of birds just right there. Cormorants too! Thanks Brian.

I do enjoy a Thames path stroll, but you are so right about the concrete under foot.

Love the light on the other side of the river, it looks surreal. Even in the shadow we can look towards the light.

It was a particularly lovely day for light actually. Very profound!

Bit envious as my poorly foot means 5,000 steps is a triumph!

Well done for your Thames path stroll, 9 miles, you say… I like the skyline. As Brian says “How straight the background is and to how folded the front subjects are” – Absolutely!

That’s quite a walk! I spy the entrance to the foot tunnel on the far side of the river 🙂

I’ve never used … nor even seen that.

That’s quite a walk. Unfortunately my knee has decided to play up again so walking is a pain (literally). I am trying to wok out what I am looking at here. I know the view across the river from Greenwich to the Isle of Dogs and Canary Wharf and also towards the Millennium Dome. But I don’t recognise this view. Granted it is a long time since I was there.

I can’t remeber to the exact yard either. But skyscrapers spring up overnight ….so sory about te knee. My knees – and hips – aren’t far behind.

Yes, I am sure the London skyline is nothing like it was on my last visit in 2014.

It’s one of the benches on the stretch of the path that leads past the Royal Naval College, judging by the angle towards the foot tunnel entrance on the far side
