We’re off to London today, to catch some shadows in its grittier streets, to satisfy both Becky’s NovemberShadows, and Leanne’s Monochrome Madness. But first, we could relax for a few moments in a park near Canary Wharf, as shown in the header photograph.

Those connecting bridges make for an interesting competition. Presumably they were for transporting cargo between warehouses.

Indeed. That’s what I assume too, though their workmanlike days are over, I think.

some of my favourite places to explore – not as gritty as they once were!

Quite right. But the grit is still there if you scratch away!

London always throws up interesting views. Really like that shot of Shad Thames, an area of London I enjoyed exploring after doing the Tower Bridge Tour.

What I like bout that area is that you are literally yards away from the heaving masses round Tower Bridge and the Tower … and it’s … empty!

Those streets were when London life was full of shadows and dark edges!

I love the old pulley and those bridges in Shad Thames (I think?) work really well in black and white 🙂
