On the Eleventh Day of Christmas …

On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love sent to me –

Eleven pipers piping.

So soon after Hogmanay, there’s only one kind of piper who will fit the bill.

  1. So I’m picking up that you don’t like our Scottish pipes? Shocked, I tell you. Mind you, i could see them far enough before the Championships when some have been known to use the playing fields at the end of our road for practicing. It’s nicer, as i often do, to hear a solitary piper as i walk through the park.it usually means a wedding.
