On the Tenth Day of Christmas …

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love sent to me –

Ten lords a-leaping.

They’ve brought their partners with them. I hope you don’t mind. But lords a-leaping do need their ladies dancing to keep them on their toes.

This is the same troupe of Catalan dancers whom you met yesterday, entertaining us and each other, with their leaping and dancing. I can’t be certain that they’re lords, but some of them look pretty fine to me.

  1. Margaret, what a fine performance and I love the fine clothes of the dancers! From the little boy in the photo I guess this is in summer and the dancers must have been feeling the heat!

  2. Just returned to blogging sphere to find your rather jolly take on the 12 Days, particularly like this one you can feel the effort and pride of the dancers. Happy New Year to you.

    1. And to you, Agnes. I’d missed your presence on the blogosphere – I hope for good reasons, rather than because of the ‘flu, sneezes and diseases which seem to be rife just now.

      1. Actually, as blogging has been mostly to do with trying to get my online shop noticed I tend to view it as work and this Christmas I was in London for a week and I was made to do ‘proper time off’.
This year has seen huge changes for me as my father died in February from vascular dementia aged 89. It was a grim last six months for him. I have kept painting and running my shop, but I will now need to move again. Probate is a long old process and much is undecided and at the moment I am keeping the shop going, but I am gradually withdrawing from social media.
I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas and have had a good start to the New Year despite the gloomy weather.

      2. Agnes, I’m so sorry this last year has been so grim, and indeed that your father’s last months were so tough too. And moving again, just when it seemed you had really made this last home your own! No wonder blogging will take a back seat. I’d be sad to lose contact with you completely: please don’t disappear suddenly, in a puff of smoke! You are one of those bloggers I’m so pleased to have made a connection with.

      3. That is so kind of you to say so, thank you. No I won’t leave in a puff of smoke although if I did it wouldn’t be the first time in my life as a previous partner and my ex-husband could attest to! At the moment I aim to at least reach my 10 Year Blog Anniversary and hopefully, once I’m settled again, will have more time to attend to the Blogosphere in a more personal and less business capacity.
