  1. wow Harrogate is looking glorious in the spring sunshine – what a marvellous set of squares and wonderful Monday motivation even if it was meant to be Sunday relaxation!

      1. Was it short and fat compared to usual tulips? Genuinely interested as it is such a great colour and most species tulips I’ve seen are either bright red or yellow which has rather put me off even though they are apparently the earliest tulips to bloom.

      2. They were certainly chunky in appearance. Only short relative to their total size I guess. And they were late compared with many tulips which in many cases were all but over by then. Not much help, sorry!

      3. Oh late, that’s a disappointment, but thanks for the info. Every late March/early April I am trying to find an alternative to daffodils. Wanted something to fill the flower gap after the pot of iris ‘Katharine Hodgkin’ flowers has gone over, but not these then.
