This is the view from one of our windows on a sunny morning, just before I raise the blind. Only the silhouettes of the wisteria give a hint of what’s beyond. To see what I see after that, look at the header photo.

It’s been a great year – but suddenly, very suddenly, it’s almost over.

These winds make short work of those dying leaves hanging on for dear life.

Now if we didn’t know better, we might think you’d moved to Japan. Definitely capturing an Eastern feel, the second shadow shot almost like a print.

It’s lovely, and easy enough to point-and-shoot.

The leaves are a gorgeous color! Now the shadow image is almost surreal. I thought of the adorned screens the Japanese have. Love your perspective! 🙂

That blind and its shadow puppets always brings me up short..

I bet when the wind is blowing it can become quite eerie! 🙂

hehe! It’s amazing how we can communicate without the dialect of our voice and get true meaning out of what we are trying to say over messenger. LOL! 🙂

The shadow and screen is lovely, and the autumn leaves are gorgeous – perhaps even more appreciated for their fleetingness?

I must say, they haven’t been all that fleeting this year. It’s been a good autumn.

That sounds marvelous! Especially when so much else is way less than good.

Wow, that view is a magic get-up call. And the Jap. Screen painting with the store pulled down – so beautiful too.
I’m still watching Heartbeat and I get to know North Yorkshire like the inside of my pocket 🙂
I took two photos of one tree in view from our patio. Within ONE week it went from pure gold to having lost nearly 98% of its foliage. Amazing nature.

It has been amazing. Yes, it’s the final call for autumn leaves this week. And if I need a tour guide for North Yorkshire, I’ll know where to come 😉
