It’s worth getting up early – not all that early: 6.30 – to see the moon and Venus shining clearly through the window. A good kind of way to begin the day,

Sadly, it’s long past my waking up time. I’d love a lie-in!

The pair greeted me Tuesday morning, but I mis-identified (guessed) Venus and took her for our other planetary neighbor, Mars. It is truly amazing what you see when we look up… far more interesting things out there. Thank you and very nice photo. Stay well, Peace.

I’ve been thinking it was Mars too!

ooh I’ve been getting up at that time too, and have been thinking it was Mars not Venus! Venus it is though 🙂

That’s a great crescent too. Your camera or phone??

Oh, my phone isn’t up to that. Mind you, my camera didn’t want to zoom much in the pitch dark (like its owner, not wild about Zooming).

I was very impressed. I couldn’t stop my camera whirling and whirling trying to focus and gave up in the end.

Yup. They’re scared of the dark, aren’t they?

The night sky has been beautifully clear lately, and I rather like it when the moon still hovers in the morning sky. 🙂 🙂

What a lovely sight – but oh how dark it is for you at 6.30 in the morning!

I know. Winter’s nearly here. I’m no fan of dark nights.

I am always amazed that there are people who actually like winter! I am happy to hear that they do though. I have not found it to be infectious though.

My daughter likes winter. You know. The one who lives in Spain …

Perhaps winters where she is in Spain are easier than where you are?

She announced her preference for winter when she was a child!

Fabulous shot! Something about the still of the morning too that invigorates! I’ve been sleeping in because of baseball. Very late nights, but the World Series is coming to an end this week. 🙂

So jealous of anybody who manages to lie in, late nights or no late nights! Still, you’re right. Early mornings can be special.
