Woah! That’s one risky (even with all the harnesses) job!
I have struggled with Acrophobia for the better part of my life and even though I am not restricted by it anymore, this will still freak me out 😮

Quite! Not a job for many of us.

Back in the day I could have done that – well, climbed up and down, not the actual job! 😀

Several things spring to mind! We have a lovely painting of sheep on Redmire Moor. I saw a gardener in a similar position with no safety gear removing dead leaves from a palm tree in Malaysia. It’s sadly 8 years since I saw a hedgehog, this one was alive and snuffling down a country lane but I’ve not seen road kill either. It’s very sad but I’ve seen a lot of badgers which I understand eat hedgehogs.

I’ve not seen a badger recently, but I know they are around. Hedgehogs … not too many, but a few at least. And where we used to live, a roofer on a nearby house took the risk … and ended up flat on his back and paralysed for life. Ugh. Let’s leave with a smile as we think of your sheepish picture!

And there was me thinking the Wichita lineman worked on the railroad! This blog is so educational. And now….after the linehanger…a cliffhanger!

Ah, well, a heritage railway line has its terminus at Redmire. And you will like the cliffhanger.

Interesting photo – he seems to have a surprising amount of gear strapped onto him.
