I just spent a long time having google ai help me disable google ai, while at the same time keeping it available if I wanted it. I love talking with ai (it is so smart) but it is built to be addictive which it admitted and it makes lots of confident mistakes, which it calls being “confidently wrong” or “hallucinating.” So of course I did a google image search like your first commenter, I see the water. The appartus is old and broken. The pigeons like cities. I am guessing London? I am guessing The Thames.
Here is what google image search says, ”

The image appears to show an architectural detail of the Thames Barrier control building roof and a reflective glass window alongside the River Thames in London.

Good old AI is quite wrong! It is, as we both know, in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, 258 miles apart. But pretending to be a real person? ‘If you’d like, I can provide …’ This pretending to be my helpful pal gets me every time and reminds me I’m really talking to a machine. Thanks for trying though!

Google lens thinks it’s part of the Thames barrier! Couldn’t be further from the truth!

True… but that’s what it made me think of. A thingummy to ‘absorb’ high water and stop it splashing onto the pier.

That does sound possile, except it’s on the shoreline away from all but the highest tides and nowhere near a pier! The mystery thickens ….
