Goodness. I haven’t taken a photo on my phone since last Thursday, and who knows when I last used my camera? It’s been a very busy August. Anyway, here’s where I was last Thursday. Standing in the well-named and beautifully planted Quiet Garden at Fountain’s Abbey, gazing back to the Elizabethan Fountains Hall. I thought it deserved a quick shot.

For Brian’s Last on the Card.

It did. Next trip we might try to make it there. Don’t know if it can be done by public transport? xx

It can. But only on some days of the week. If you’re really thinking along those lines, I can send you info nearer the time. Or give you a lift!

Very imposing facade

It’s not that imposing, in fact. Fairly intimate in many ways, with cheery little statuettes dotted about

Oh, OK! Cheery little statuettes sounds quite down to earth
