True. But why shave a dog and then buy it a sweater? Naturally short-haired dogs do indeed get togged up in winter.

It’s bad enough for them, but worse for birds. The young are hatching daily now and there are no insects about in this cold. Nestbox checking this morning for our weekly survey revealed too many dead hatchlings.
