From dawn to dusk in France, then below-freezing dawn in France to sunny noon in Catalonia.

All taken from a moving car, so no prize-winning shots here. The featured photo is of the Pic du Canigou, the Pyrennean mountain which divides France from Spain.
I like the feeling of being on the move. Enjoy the sunshine!

Well, to me the third photo, the road with the bare trees on the right and the approaching Volkswagen, looks like a prize-winner. Personally, I would do a bit of a crop, chopping off some at the right and top to ballance out the composition. But even as is, it is suitable for a gallery wall. I think it might even find a buyer who would love to have that photo on their wall.

These photo are barely processed. On holiday, they come out of the phone or camera and onto the page with hardly any assistance. Thanks Ludwig.

I like the foggy one best. No reason just interesting.

I always like a bit of fog too. And the roads were so empy we didn’t feel unsafe.

I think they are fabulous. And no traffic! Ludwig is right, that’s a good image.

Thanks. Yes, French motorways and A roads are blissfully empty outide the cities.

That looks beautiful. I’m feeling so ready for a road trip somewhere, anywhere! But not likely to be in Spain or France! Trapped here in the US, trying not to watch the news, trying not to see the news online. Feeling unsure if we can survive 3 more years. Maybe I’ll take a road trip to unwind some stress.

Well, the weather seems to have thrown everything at you! Well maybe not the torrential rain you had once before. Glad the journey is safely over.

Thank you. We are too. Luckily we (just) escaped the farmers’ blockades in France.

The mountains are beautiful. How many kilometers is the drive?

Just shy of 1600 km. I know, I know. Train would be a far better option …

That is quite far. I guess you two are die hard road trippers.

Not me. I don’t really like being cooped up in a car. It’s more M’s thing.

I don’t envy you the drive but I envy you those mountains.

It is, though I must say a road trip isn’t really my idea of fun.

They are all very moody photos! I quite like open road shots and these capture a sense of distance. And the mountain one is my favourite. Have you just driven down or are these historic?

Certainly not historic! Thay’re hot out of my phone!

Canigou is always snowy in January, of course. But I think it should be snowier than this.

Yes, it seems unnaturally lacking good snow cover
