A Cooling Bench

All over Europe, people are hot and bothered – not so much here up north, where it will only reach 25 degrees today. So my contribution to keeping you cool, if you’re affected by the heatwave, is to offer this refreshing sit down in our local wood.

  1. And very delightful it looks too. We are missing the sun and the very high temps down here. We just get the humidity. Which was horrendous yesterday. Tomorrow looks better. Tomorrow invariably looks better!

    1. Ah, the same here. Today is very grey and humid with the sun desperately trying to break through. Neither one thing or another, if it actually rained at least the garden would benefit.

  2. Your bench looks like a place to stop and enjoy a moment. I checked the temperatures for our coming trip to London, Paris, and Amsterdam – really warm, but cooler temperatures are on the way. Swansea looks like it is going to be a bit in the cool side. I’ll be looking for benches along the way.

  3. That looks just what I need in London today – a shame it isn’t nearer! Or better still, if I were only a little further north, as 25 degrees sounds so much more comfortable than 30 😀

  4. The same is true here in the US Margaret. Climate change I suppose. It’s an odd week when our very southern town is cooler than those in the northeast. Your bench looks like the perfect place to take a breather and enjoy some shade.

  5. 19C here and very humid. I Don’t Do Humid! A bench in the shade would be perfect with a nice refreshing breeze too please. I’m dithering whether to risk going outside to do some more root extraction, but fear it may be too hot.

  6. Love that shaded bench and never sure where I should be when for sunny days. Really enjoyed Spring in the UK with so much more sunshine than here. It seems the rains continued for the Spanish spring! All good though as streams nearby still running.
