      1. It’s not a lifestyle you can envy, Georgina, but we still have the boats going out on a regular basis and the guys sitting mending. It’s a way of life I’d be sorry to see depart.

  1. Great photos Margaret, though I have concerns at how much fishing equipment finds itself wrapped around sealife. Not to mention how so many small time fishers are struggling against the huge trawlers.

    1. Absolutely agree, Jude. This particular community seems to work hard with its own fishing community to build awareness of how they should fish safely. But those trawlers … that’s a whole other story.

  2. I always like to see the traditional fishermen mending their nets like this – it’s a reminder that not all the ‘old ways’ of doing things have been discarded.
