My daughter sent me these photos from a day out at Smithills Open Farm, Bolton. I’ll let these alpacas speak for themselves.

Wonderful! We once rented a cotttage on an alpaca farm in Cornwall and amused ourselves for hours watching them mince from one part of the field to the next.

They are a bit prima-donna-ish, aren’t they?

But endearing with it.

We had an Alpaca “farm” along a busy road in a nearby town. They had to move it back from the road because of the near rear enders caused by folks slowing down to look at them. They are cuties.

I think they know it too 😉

Aha, Alpaca expressions. I wanted some until realised how expensive they are and to keep them vaxed. 🥹😄

They wouldn’t have appreciated you. Very supercilious I think.

They look so dopey. My son and I have walked with them a couple of times. They seem adorably brainless.

I’ve walked with llamas once. They’re beautiful (those eyelashes!), but a bit ill-tempered I think.

At the local petting zoo it does have a sign warning the llamas will spit at you! Charming.

Such strange looking creatures with those hair-dos! But then they probably think that about the humans who come to see them too…

I’ll never complain about a bad hair day again! And the second alpace looks as if it had a double dose of botox in the lips. Thanks for the laugh!

Absolutely! It’s hard to take these animals seriously, isn’t it?
