The Lens-Artists Challenge, this week offered by Sofia, invites us to looks at mood. It’s been a very busy week for me, with time in short supply, so perhaps I need a spot of local walking to induce a mood of peace and calm.

… and just take a stroll down a woodland path …

Or perhaps a spot of merriment and street theatre is what’s required …

Or a seaside sunrise: even on a grey day.

Mind you, it’s as well to avoid nesting birds. They can get in a very bad mood, as this arctic tern can confirm …

He’s dive-bombing me. He thinks I’m possibly egg-collecting.
Best burn off a bit of energy and settle my mood …

… before returning home to be simultaneously awed and calmed by a local sunset …

Always love a walk along a woodland path! Fortunately, I have one close to home currently lined with wild garlic.

Oh, hasn’t it been a wonderful season? Lots of wild garlic meals came our way. And now you have bluebells? I hope so.

Not in that wood but there are some close by. I sped through a bluebell wood on the train this week, loving the way they look like a blur of water under the trees!

You did great. No mood-altering chemicals required. 😊 My fave is the woods with the streaming light (feature image).

Your woodland shots are amazing and your tern one is just my absolute nightmare! Great post, I loved it (minus the bird…)

I take your point about the tern, but it was an amazing experience (I was, wisely, wearing a hat 😉 )

I’m terrified of birds… 😦

I love the shafts of light in that woodland shot and the tern in a bad mood made me laugh (although I wouldn’t have been laughing if he’d gone for me like that!)

Oooh, he was scary. But just being a loyal father. And the shafts of light was one of those lucky moments when you’re glad that mobile phones have been invented!

A walk through an old growth forest does it for me. A soft well trodden path with fallen pine needles under foot. No people nearby, no sounds or views of the modern world.

Exactly. Though we don’t do pine needles round here. Beech leaves, oak leaves mainly. Just as good!
