I'm retired and living in North Yorkshire, where I walk as often as I can, write, volunteer, and travel as often as I can.

Oh, cool! I remember a TV programme where a chef was talking about the Hungarian Mangalica pigs, and what beautifully flavoured meat they had, and those pigs were very hairy
ADORABLE! 💚🐽🐗
If they are small and pot-belly adorned, they could be what we call wool piggies, they have a lot of hair….
But I wonder: How can we eat (and enjoy) something so cute and adorable like these?
Happy Monday!
I know nothing about pigs other than there are the big pink ones, and ones like these. But these guys looks like they have character, I like them. Friendly little faces!
I was looking up rare pig breeds that originate in the UK. There are several types. I recall seeing a pig with long hair, similar to these handsome faces, at Mary Arden’s Farm.
I like the lighter haired one the best…so cute!

I know. They’re hard to take seriously, aren’t they?

I doubt if these are that exotic, but I just don’t know.

That’s easy, Kiki. I don’t! They are quite small, but not, as far as I remember, pot bellied. At least no more than most pigs …

I think Sue is right, Marcus Waring bought some for his smallholding, good flavour.

Oh, right. The place where these live is unlikely to have foodie owners, but who knows?

I guess some people keep them as pets, I find pigs too smelly.

I wouldn’t want then=m as a pet. But a nice pig pen several hundred metres away …

But pig farms always smell so bad, I am glad we only have cattle and sheep here, that’s bad enough on occasions.

They look so expectantly up! I like the dark one on the right, he looks a real character – actually, they all do.

Great fun photos Margaret. They aren’t the best looking creatures on earth though.

How clever, a troupe of scruffy terriers acting out ‘The Three Little Pigs’. Did they bark or grunt their lines?
