For fun, let’s enter a world of shadows, and while we’re about it, complete Jude’s photo challenge this week, where she invites us to do just that.
A street light in Vic, Catalonia.
A bike in Barcelona.
Passers by – or their legs anyway – at Masham Sheep Fair.
Shadows on the sitting room wall.
Woodland at Kiplin Hall, North Yorkshire.
A woodland path on the Ripon Rowel walk.
A path on a riverside walk, West Tanfield, North Yorkshire.
My son and daughter-in-law looking out at the Atlantic. I like the not-a-tree hanging over them.
Overlooking the beach at Filey, North Yorkshire.

Wet walk for you, Jo? Hope we’ll read all about it! We’re off to Dumfries and Galloway – a first for me, but not for Malcolm.

Lovely! Some beautiful spots there. Don’t walk in the rain but we’re all a bit restless 😊. A few drops at the moment so we’ll meet for a coffee and decide 😂💕

What a lovely selection of shadows. I see you must also love the subject. Being a nosy parker, I see you are going away next week to D&G. We had a week there in Kirkcudbright and loved it. Most likely a post or two on the travel blog. Hope the weather behaves for you 😁

Wonderful photos. And very apposite following on from damp Wensleydale.

It wasn’t as damp as it looked really. Poetic licence.

That’s a fine selection of shadows. And, interestingly it shows that all shadows are definitely not equal.

We tend to think of shadows as having the same quality so it was interesting to see some hard ones and some soft ones here. Another great selection.

Yes, it was quite fun seeing what kind of a range I could produce.

Sometimes shadows are more interesting than the actual subject…a bit like reflections. Lovely pics.
