My word, what interesting photographs your archives hold. You have such a good eye.
I love fish and chips…especially when I get to eat them in England. This summer hopefully! I have not been posting of reading for a bit…it is good to be catching up.
In answer to your question about a large quantity of small fish, yes I have. Any more but less variety in huge sacks in Malaysia. I was very impressed by the brown one at the museum and then I realised it wasn’t bread!
Mouthwatering selection of fish plenty to please the eye and nothing to offend the nose!!! Mind you it all looks so fresh can’t imagine any of it was particularly smelly.
An interesting collection of shots. I confess I don’t eat fish so the market ones are a bit eeuw from my pov and I am not sure about the mushy peas either but then I have never had the opportunity to try them 🙂
When I think about it, my British grandmother cooked all vegetables so thoroughly that it would likely only have taken a quick stir with a fork to turn them to mush 🙂

Thank you. A good use of (another) wet afternoon looking for them.

I can never resist a fishing picture.
I live in Grimsby where everyone likes fish and chips but only haddock.

I didn’t realise we were near neighbours. I have a soft spot for Grimsby. And haddock and chips.

Impressive! We get plenty of lake fish including tiny perch but I’ve never seen quantities like that!

They’re astonishing aren’t they? How can there be any left?

Great pictures as always. Absolutely love fish and chips washed down of course with a nice cup of Yorkshire tea! x

You know me. I don’t wash anything down with tea. x

Yes, I see creatures! You found a lot, after all!
I wish we could get decent fish & chips here, or any fish&chips, coming to think of it.

Yes, I found some. If you could do it so could I. So you’re a fish and chip fan? You’ll have to come over here for a bit!

Can’t beat fish and chips, and you did make me smile, but you don’t have Comments again on your lovely muddy walk. Sorry! 🙂 🙂

Thanks for letting me know. I have no idea why this happens, but I hope I’ve put it right now.

Haha! Nope, sandstone. East Asia certainly likes its fish, little and large, doesn’t it?

Don’t forget the salt ‘n’ vinegar…

Like the salt. Not much of a fan on vinegar. Verity make the world go around. ;0)

Absolutely not. Both were the least smelly fish markets you can imagine.

Mushy peas? If you weren’t brought up on them, don’t bother. Especially as I don’t think they’re ever served except with fish and chips.

Haha! I had a friend whose grandmother always put the sprouts on 45 minutes before lunch!
