It was back to work as usual for Team Barcelona on Monday, so we left them to it and came to Valencia.
It’s lovely to be back, revisiting old haunts from last November, and making fresh discoveries. Pottering down streets in long-established communities is the best: grand imposing doorways; delicately wrought balconies; elegant stucco. Or these days, street art. Here are a few examples I snapped this afternoon.
Wonderful selection, thank you.

It’s not Berlin, but it’s pretty good.

The art in the street is wonderful. The picture of the man with my cigar is my favorite.

He appealed to me too. As it was only a painted cigar 😉

Street art vernacular seems to be cosmopolitan!

It’s never taken off in England that much. Graffiti yes, art no.

Maybe one person’s graffiti is another person’s … ?

Very interesting selection. The horse mural is particularly engaging. I’ve often wondered why we don’t have more street art here in England. Almost everything whatever it is, except Banksy, is labelled graffiti.

It’s true. We don’t seem to embrace street art at all. I suppose there is a fine line between defacement and enhancement, but nobody seems to take the risk.
