A Bench by the Thames

On Thursday I walked the Thames Path from Woolwich via the Thames Barrier and the Millennium Dome to Cutty Sark in Greenwich. A story for another day. Today I’ll just show a view across the Thames, as enjoyed by two picnickers on a bench in the gentle shadow of the buildings near the Dome, especially selected for Jude’s Bench Challenge, and Becky’s NovemberShadows.

  1. I like this photo Margaret 😀

“Let’s go down the river for a while”
“That sounds good, there’s heaps to see down there”
“Remember the last time we were down there?” “We had those birds eating out of our hands”
“Oh yeah, hanging out with a couple of birds”
“I wonder whatever happened to those pigeons?”
How straight the background is and to how folded the front subjects are. That phone slump. The one in blue could be asleep 😂

  2. Well done for your Thames path stroll, 9 miles, you say… I like the skyline. As Brian says “How straight the background is and to how folded the front subjects are” – Absolutely!

  3. That’s quite a walk. Unfortunately my knee has decided to play up again so walking is a pain (literally). I am trying to wok out what I am looking at here. I know the view across the river from Greenwich to the Isle of Dogs and Canary Wharf and also towards the Millennium Dome. But I don’t recognise this view. Granted it is a long time since I was there.
