Gazing upwards, as you walk towards the Museu Blau in Barcelona, your eye is baffled by sky and concrete and shadow all jostling for attention.
Or do you prefer it in colour?

For Becky’s NovemberShadows.

No, actually black and white is more interesting on this occasion xx

That was my feeling too Jo. But we’re in a minority apparently. x

Both are great but the blue sky pops!

That’s a good way of putting it. Actually it’s awful grey here, so perhaps I should favour colour too.

Yes, you must be coming into some short daylight hour days. The days here (southern Australia) are getting longer. The paddocks are spring green, the sky is blue and the light is bright.

Don’t tell us that! Nightfall here is now at 4.00 p.m.!

Both equally striking. I’m drawn to the second but that may be the season.

I can understand that, but I’m a monochrome fan, so am voting for the first. Thanks Susan.

Beautiful composition – another vote for cloud-popping color 😎

Thanks. I’m glad I put both in now – a last minute decision.

b&w is more distant, the color one is hopeful

I thought the B&W incredible, and then when I scrolled down I though ooh like this too. I am though with you and Jo think the B&W is my favourite

Great shot, I like both renditions. I especially like the pops of blue after seeing the black and white.

Another undecided! That’s OK!

I wanted to express that I like them both, one after the other (b&W to color), but if I had to pick one I’d pick color.

Thanks, Margaret. Does that mean I’m the only one or the most enthusiastic? ; )

The latter probably. And also that I realised you now have enough to make a team!

I was going to say black and white for sure, because of all the angles and contrast, but the more I looked at the colour version the more I started to enjoy those reflections of the sky, which I’d barely noticed in B&W. So now I can’t decide!

I looked at it and felt baffled – then I read that I was expected to be baffled! I prefer it in b&w – more mysterious and atmospheric somehow.

Colour has its fans. You’re in my team though 😉

From an art standpoint I like the black and white a lot more. I like the angles and I think they pop more in the black and white with no color to distract.

Join Team b/w! It seems to have split the viewers into two camps!
