For this week’s Monochrome Madness, I’m showing a few images from Strasbourg: its historic city centre, including the area near and in the Cathedral, and a few odds and ends such as a weather vane, a single lonely wolf (?) on a riverside brick wall, and a few of the many bikes there.

The dramatic styling and colour of the houses lends itself so well to black and white, doesn’t it? Love the bikes shot xx

So interesting how monochrome changes the way we/I look at things. I didn’t recognise Strasbourg at first despite having reurned only three weeks ago.

We once spent a few hours in Strasbourg but with my wheelchair bound mother in law, so we didn’t see nearly as much as you. It looks like a lovely city!

It’s wonderful, and has so many hidden corners away from Tourist Central too.

I like black and white photography. It’s particularly complementary, I think, to architecture, and especially older styles. I like your work very much.
