On May morning, I got up at 4.30, to celebrate daybreak, sunrise and the dawn chorus. Here is the bench I found almost at the end of my walk.

And here is the story of my walk, from my home in North Stainley to the next village along, West Tanfield: then back along the River Ure – in pictures.

For Jude’s Bench Challenge.
And if Jo will accept a virtually Wordless Walk, for Jo’s Monday Walk.
It’s beautiful, thank you, though I have to say, 4.30 is a little extreme. Jude will still be fast asleep xx

I wasn’t actually early enough. I’d consulted the w.w.w. to find daybreak time, but when I got out, I discovered it was already getting pretty light – our curtains cut out all the light. And I could so easily have got up earlier. I’d been awake since 1.00! Me and sleep …. xx

A beautiful May morning, and with skies and views like that I’m sure Jo won’t mind the lack of words, the pictures speak for themselves 🙂

Margaret, these are magnificent views you captured so well. You almost make me want to get up early to try my luck.

I’m lucky, being a lark. Being a night owl is much harder for me. Thanks Egidio.

Ha, Woody does because his first job was a milkman back in the 60’s with a horse. I like my bed too much.
