Benches in Harrogate’s Valley Gardens

I spent much of Thursday in this lovely park with some members of my photo club on Thursday. I thought I ought to take a few shots of benches, in among, especially for Jude’s Bench Challenge. Here they are: though the header photo was taken in the town centre, and shows a bench as possible Photo Opportunity. As you see, we declined to take advantage.

  1. Aren’t they lovely? I particularly like the black and white shots, and really you should have got some of your camera club pals to sit on that first bench with the frame. I think I have only ever been to Harrogate once and that was to a Yes concert in the theatre (?) perhaps, wherever it was we had seats in the gods and could barely see the tiny figures on the stage! 1. I never thought of Harrogate Theatre as THAT big! As to the picture-frame bench. It was the end of our day together and we had all parted to go our separate ways. Missed opportunity!

  2. What a great place, Margaret. In the end, looks like the weather was kind to you. Love the image with the dappled sunlight and looks like you’ve got enough benches for a few Sundays!
