We thought that the children here in Catalonia went back to school today. But no, as I discovered when I tried to take Anaïs along this morning. So instead, we went to the gym. A trampolining sort of a place, and full of geometric shapes. The kids bouncing around are blurred, because they were bounding at speed. Anaïs is in pink, towards the back.

I’m a bit bemused about who gets a holiday on 6th. Apparently, in Puerto Rico… But not here!

Really? Do the chidren go to school, just after the Kings have been? Or doesn’t Portugal do this?

No, it’s not a celebration here. I think school resumed on Monday but I’m not sure.

I thought for one terrible moment you had a new year’s resolution to ‘work out’. I’m delighted to see it’s soft play. What a shame you didn’t get in the ball pit as that would have been quite the photo from the inside

Those trampolines look so much safer than the one’s with springs exposed, which were common in public spaces when I was a child!
