Are Those Statues in the Sea?

Indeed they are – at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Northumberland. This ‘Couple’ by Sean Henry has been standing on a platform on a breakwater gazing out at sea since about 2008. At any moment of the day you’ll be able to spot passers-by gazing at them.

    1. Ah, you have a different sea to gaze at! Nop, we waved goodbye to each other yesterday 😦 . Next week though is house-sitting in Shropshire for friends.

  1. Agh, I’ve been to Newbiggin a couple times and I always find these the creepiest things ever! I think it’s the replica version on land so when I looked out to sea, I thought they’d moved…
