Found; on the way from West Tanfield, one odd glove. Strangely, it isn’t mine. I regularly lose gloves – always the right hand one. My record stands at eleven in a single season. Perhaps I should have walked off with this one?

For Becky’s Square Odds

Sorry about all those lost gloves.

I have nobody to blame but myself. Unfortunately.

I think it might have been the wrong size….

Actually, it looked pretty much OK for me.

Oh dear – that can be a very expensive habit. I lost one of mine the other week, but found it on the same walk the next day! Dangling on a branch like this one 🙂

Excellent! I only ever buy gloves from charity shops. They do well out of me.

At least there wasn’t a hand in it 😲

My grandkids have their gloves connected with a string running through the sleaves and over the back. Might this be something for you? 😁

I felt such a twit when I tried it. It lasted just one day.

I can just see you with this contraption … 😂 (PS: I meant sleeves, of course. I saw it the moment I hit “send”. Too late to change the typo, though.).

Odd indeed to see in the rural wilderness though quite a frequent sight on urban pavements. How about trying high-vis neon gloves, should catch your eye as it drops to the ground.

But it would spoil the urbane, stylish elegant look I always cultivate …. not.

I love this, Margaret. 😀😀. Don’t fret. All your lost gloves end up in the same place as my lost socks. 😀😀

Ah, but you can, if desperate, mix and match socks. A left hand glove is always a left hand glove 😉

Very true, Margaret. A left is always a left. 😁

And not only the odd glove, Margaret. That sycamore (?) trunk on the right looks to be eyeing up the situation 🙂

Definitely. It’s a busy path. Those trees don’t miss much.

I misplaced a glove at Walmart once. They keep a big box of Lost/Found items at the service desk. You could try there. You might find the right one even if it doesn’t match. 🙂

I’ve a sort of feeling it mightn’t make economic sense to cross the Atlantic Ocean just to source a free glove! Nice idea though. I could always combine a holiday too.

I’ll check in about Walmart’s free shipping ….. if I find an odd glove. 🙂

I can’t, it’s in my genes. Which is strange because I don’t own any!

Much more normal than the odd shoes one sees.

I try so hard not to lose gloves. I only have 2 pair, and only 2 because I thought I lost the other pair when I bought the new pair…then I found the other pair and I feel very rich – glove wise anyway.

I lost my keys on Monday! Fortunately they were returned to me yesterday. My husband had a dental appointment opposite the restaurant we were in on Monday and I asked him to pop in on the off chance they were there, having looked everywhere else I could think of. Mick messaged to say they hadn’t got them and I went on with my chores, till I was interrupted by a phone call. The lady cook had looked herself and found them! It’s called the Secret Garden. A good hiding place, it seems. I remembered upending my purse to add to the tip. I’m known for not carrying my purse when we go out. Makes perfect sense to me. Look what happens when I try to contribute….

Exactly my thinking, Margaret, though it did give me some anxious moments. Just taking me when I go walking this morning. Happy weekend!

Sometimes things need to get lost to remind us of how much we need them. So sorry about the loss of your gloves.
