Great picture. Prefer the relative safety of the Eye!

Me too. Not done it yet though.

A great shot, Margaret – the cranes look so small.
I’d still choose the Eye, though there might be some good shots to be had from a crane. My problem with the crane would eb the getting up there!

My problem would be opening my eyes….

Some the Eye a few times … and was actually in the queue to get on it when Kurdish protesters seized two pods and threatened to set themselves alight! Needless to say the ride was shut down before we got on board, thankfully, or we might have been stuck there for quite some time!

That reminds me of the time when my children, then 5 and 3, were held at the top of a big wheel in Tivoli, Copenhagen, when a freak thunder and lightning storm suddenly arrived ….

Argh! I’ve been on that wheel!

I went on the eye about a decade ago…fine as long as you don’t look down!

I’m going to organise a Bloggers’ Day Out I think. It’s the popular choice.

Love the photos! I’ve never been on a crane, but would probably prefer London Eye. However, the perfect view of London is achieved, when your flight does the tourist route when landing in Heathrow. Then you fly over Canary Wharf and Millennium Dome and then follow the Thames to Tower Bridge, London Eye, etc. Finally you get the perfect view over central London incl Picadilly Circus and the parks. I’ve done that route a ridiculous number of times and I never tire of it!

You’re right. That bit of any flight into Heathrow is a treat.

Um yes. I get dizzy even from below on these things.

Well, if health and safety were okay with it I’d like to experience going up one of the cranes. Mind you would that be climbing up all the way under your own steam???
LikeLiked by 1 person
I don’t know how they get up. But I suspect they don’t climb. Hope not!
