Beautiful pictures but – um – you’re going to have to get up and do it all again tomorrow as this year the winter solstice is actually on the 22nd! 4.49am, to be precise.
Sorry 😉
I knew you’d pick me upon that Kalba. You’re quite right of course, but historically, the 21st has been the day, and tomorrow morning it’s going to be raining (again).
How beautiful and how surprising to see such glorious skies yesterday morning. By the way I didn’t mean that you should have taken a picture of Mr Fox the day you wrote about him, au contraire, just that it’s always good to see pictures of such fine and exciting a creature and if ever you get the chance…. I agree we mustn’t get too photo dependent but you do take good ones!
It’s fine, I never assumed you were criticising me for not having my camera to the ready. I’m glad I had yesterday – though those skies moved almost as quickly as a fox can. happy Christmas, whatever you’re doing!
Wow–a sky like that always make me feel good about the day that’s to come! And for it to happen at solstice suggests the whole season will be excellent, right?

Rain? What’s that? I haven’t seen any rain since we were in Spain …

21st/22nd who cares when the sky is that beautiful and you’ve captured it so well. The rain arrived here in Norfolk by midday – grim and miserable.

Yup. Here too. My washing was out there, of course….

Honestly, it wasn’t early – about 7.30, or maybe even later than that.
