Here’s who we found on a visit to Thorp Perrow yesterday. A mother wallaby and her frisky and curious joey. He didn’t get out of the pouch while we were there, but we knew he was skittish, because when he was nowhere to be seen, his mum’s pouch rippled energetically as he rushed around within.

Monday Portrait.
This post is dedicated to Brian of Bushboy’s World, because he has wallabies frollicking around in his back garden. Lucky Brian!
How adorable!!

Cute. I’m not sure I’d want one in my garden though.

How lovely! Will there be a return visit? When you might get to see young Joey frolicking about in the big wide world and giving his mum’s pouch a break?

Well, I had a season ticket which is just running out this week, so I suspect I may be having a longish break. Though the information board there says one of the funnier sights is watching a joey who is frankly now far too big for the pouch trying to wrestle his or her way back in!

How sweet! We enjoyed Thorp Perrow, including the wallabies, but didn’t get any sight as cute as this one 😀

I’ve been to Thorp Perrow often over the years, but this was a first for me. 🦘
