Do you know why sheep got given the push? We do seem to have thousands of them up here. Hard to imagne that all get eaten. Their wool ain’t wanted, that’s for sure.
The farm next to me is mostly used as a holding area, constantly being brought in and out. She does have several prize winning bulls. But mostly the work is haulage.
No matter how often I see them I have to stop, and smile. A while ago we were out walking and a little charmer pranced over to be petted. I don’t think mum was impressed with her brash but very charming youngster xx
She wouldn’t have been. Scary human alert! I love this stage, when their woolly skins are all baggy and they have yet to grow into them. No Portuguese lambs, I’m guessing? xx
So much cuter when they’re young which, I suppose, can be said of most of us!

I know. I always think it’s a shame lambs have to grow up to be sheep.

Sweet indeed, and still at the stage to be uttering charmingly feeble ‘baaaahs’

Trouble is, they grow up to be sheep ….

Just like charming babies grow up to be children, then teenagers, and then, horror of horrors, adults!

Some of us turn out quite well though, don’t we?

They no longer keep sheep here so no cute lambs. But no naughty sheep eating my garden either!

Oh. From time to time, I suppose. But no daily milking!
