Someone has called this place home, since 1499. Current tenants? Apparently a garden gnome and a penguin. Spotted last summer in Bishop’s Castle.

Don’t think they’ll be noisy neighbours

I love the way the gnome is perusing his grounds. Probably planning a spot of work for the gardener.

Maybe. Except he has no garden. At the front anyway. It was the main street in town. Regret perhaps …

Great photo. We just seem to wander around looking at things at eye level, but a whole world can open up if we raise our eyes a bit.

Ideally, we should do both!

You find the most amazing things. A gnome home! Looking up, looking down, looking all around it’s amazing what we can find.

Indeed. But Bishop’s Castle is that sort of town.

525 years. I didn’t know that penguins lived that long. A gnome would be easy to believe. 😉

Oh, they’ll be the great-great-great etc. descendents of the original inhabitants. The original immigrant penguin?

Oh, scary? I’m a scaredy cat, but found them quite affable.

How cute. And don’t they always say that gnomes get very old? 😉

I’m sure gnomes are born old, with long white beards!
