A Residence for Fairies?

My featured photo is of the colourful (but poisonous) fly agaric. And as we all know, elves like to sit on them. I have no photos of elves, but I can do fairies.

I offer you a fairy collecting the secret wishes of children at Ripon Theatre Festival this year; another spotted on a fence; and a warning on a London front door.

Finally, here’s a genuine letter written by the tooth fairy who visits the children in our family when they lose their baby teeth. She’s a grumpy soul. She writes messages on tiny pieces of paper the size of a postage stamp and tucks them under the pillow as she leaves her silver coin. A Red Letter Day for the lucky recipient.

  1. What a lovely post! The Ripon fairy looks beautiful in that orange dress, the London sign is fun, and I love the letter from the grumpy tooth fairy 🙂 I only used to get money – like you, 6d was the going rate in our family!

  2. I love those mushrooms despite the fact that they look so attractive, but are dangerous. In fact, I had a photo too a fee days ago. But alas, I had no fairies to go with it. 🧚‍♂️🧚🧚‍♀️

      1. How much coin do they receive for each? I think it was a quarter when I was a child. When I proposed to young Eagle that they could receive money if they put their tooth under their pillow for the fairy, they said indignantly, “My teeth are NOT for sale!” Ha ha, so cute.
