‘Would You Like to Fly in my Beautiful Balloon?’

There you are. It’s just behind that house, getting ready to go. Fabulous views of the Yorkshire Dales this morning. We’ll be back in time for lunch at the pub.

  1. When I was a kid I wanted to learn to fly a plane. Or at least go up in a balloon. Maybe even sky dive. But now days, 60 years later, I think it’s OK that I don’t. But they sure are pretty!

      1. I can’t remember how many cancellations we had. I was fooled by the advert which said they had departure points all over Scotland. I didn’t realise that meant they had one balloon which they carted about the place! a couple of times we had even booked a weekend away around it. It was fun when we finally got up though.

  2. Love the shot of the balloon behind that house, yet another unusual angle taken by you. Think Jo’s tethered trip is the one for me. Cast loose am not sure I would enjoy the views as realise now I must have a fear of flying free.

      1. we have to book directly with one of the firms, so I am thinking we try for next year and then promote to others to either book themselves or come along and watch xx

  3. Wow! This conversation carried on somewhat! I’d be happy to see the balloons, I remember Jo posting about them (I think), but going up in one? No, don’t think so. I do remember one coming down opposite our house in Cape Town, luckily when there was still plenty of space. It was awfully BIG!
