I am going to give up any pretence of regular blogging for a while. Maybe a scheduled post or so, maybe the odd Virtual Postcard. Daughter-in-Spain never asks for help, but for most of this week and next, she needs some. So I’m off to Catalonia. I’ll leave you with two benches. One 5 minutes walk away in our local Beatswell Woods: the other just down on the beach near Daughter’s house. Very different. But both have their charms.

For Jude’s Bench Challenge. And I think I know which one Jude will go for.
lovely🌷the two benches

How’s your Catalan? (No, me neither).

No parlo ni una paraula de Català 😁

As you see, French works quite well for comprehension at least. Just say Merci for thank you, and Adeu for Goodbye and you’ll be sorted.

My math ain’t what it used to be but I counted three. 🙂 Both spots offer great ambiance for contemplation and the opportunity to take a load off for the weary walker. Although there’ll be chores to do enjoy your time by the beach.

Durr, quite right. Maths was never my strong suit. Not sure I’ll get much beachifying done. It’ll be exhausting fun, whatever we all do. Thanks.

Thank you. Jogging on. Not always how we’d like things to be, but that’s life.

It’s an easy choice. Flying over I presume? Have fun xx

I don’t think it’s an easy choice! Which one did you choose? Sadly yes. I had pledged never to fly again, but I couldn’t find a realistic alternative. xx

I don’t have a partner who will make the drive, and it’s a very long walk. The seaside, of course, because I’ve never been there xx

The train woud aleays be my choice, but it’s such an expensive choice, sadly ..

Both lovely locations to sit and contemplate Margaret, but I do like a bench to have a back to lean against.

Agreed. Practising perfect posture is a pain!

Hahaha… you know me well. I’d happily perch on one of the benches by the sea, but on the other hand a bench with a backrest is more than welcome along a walk. Hope the crisis in Spain isn’t too much of a crisis and I am sure you will enjoy helping out, think of all those hugs! Safe journey.

Thank you! No, not too much of a crisis, just stretched to far, as parents often are…
