Seven Oddments from Shropshire

Our time in Shropshire resulted in a few finds that didn’t make it onto the postcards I sent. Now – thanks to Becky’s Seven in September – I have my chance.

Now you can sort out t’other from which.

  • An owl in a Church Stretton garden.
  • An elderly marionette in an elderly pushchair spotted in an antique shop in Ludlow.
  • A pugilistic fairy figure in Bishp’s Castle.
  • More owls – little ones spotted in Shrewsbury.
  • A peacock mincing – very carefully – down steps at Powis Castle.
  • A decorated drainpipe reminiscent of those in Valencia – in Ludlow.
  • A fish van in Shrewsbury.

      1. yeah that’s the really frustrating thing about it I feel is that the hosts don’t know. I have only presumed everyone gets it with mine because I was experiencing it elsewhere. Hopefully no longer happens on mine!

  1. What an eclectic collection. I have always disliked marionettes, this one is no exception. The fairy is odd, but rather nice and well done on finding the face on the drainpipe. I missed that one.

  2. The peacock made me smile, especially with the Shropshire connection. We used to have them roaming around at the nursery and if one decided to wander, it was quite a problem. I love your idea of gathering seven things together rather than counting flowers or petals, which I have foolishly been trying.
