well aren’t these fun – although have to admit was beginning to think I might attack the one on my road after waiting months for the engineers to come and open it to activate my broadband!

Nobody would have blamed you. But thank goodness you’re connected now.

These are adorable, Margaret. I especially love the turtle and octopus. Thank you for your PPAC contribution.

It’s fun to let an even wider public see them.

These are fun! I have a photo of the tiger one from our visit a couple of years ago and I think I remember the turtle too, but I don’t recall seeing this many – maybe they have spread since our visit 😆

I think they have. The penguis and insects were spotted well away from the usual town cenre haunts.

These are new. I like the idea of having the bear next to the Bear Steps.

Clever, isn’t it? I think Shrewsbury BID had the idea in about 2021, and it’s gone on from there. Yes, the Bear is a particularly clever one.

Fantastic! Sadly we are prohibited from personalizing our mailboxes here on the island which I suppose can be a good thing depending on your neighbors 😊. And we either leave our outbound mail in our mailbox or take it to the local post office which is every bit as drab as you’d imagine. I’m living vicariously through your post this week tho margaret!

Ah Tina, these aren’t mailboxes, but telecom paraphernalia. Nevertheless some people do have jolly, or quirky, or certainly individual mailboxes.

Those are cute! I’ve noticed some round here have been painted recently, but not as attractively as these ones.

Great way of transforming some relatively dull and undecorative boxes into something fun! I love how you always manage to spot unusual motifs wherever you go.
