Harrogate Hospital’s car park seems to have had a makeover. This is what you’ll see in the verges which surround it.

I can’t speak for the cars. But I like it. Very much.

Cornflowers! How lovely! (the things some people will do to make 6 words… smiling!) Happy weekend, Margaret!

Actually, I didn’t even try. I made up the title, and lo! It was six words. And a good weekend to you both, Jo.

Tavira Day on Monday, fireworks Sunday night and a lot of musical events. No need to go far this weekend.

It’s wonderful when they leave patches for meadow plants and allow them to grow freely! 😃

I agree. I reckon a couple of packets of seeds might have helped it along.

it‘s not meant for the cars…. 😉 We have, now for several years already, practically everywhere ‚wild flower‘ meadows sawn in public places, even if it‘s only along a walkway. Love it, and I‘m sure my son threw a handfull of ‚bee-&-butterfly-friendly’ seeds right into my mini-garden last year. I have tons of ‚blooming‘ grasses, and flowers which are NOT from our lawns surrounding the buildings. I am of course grateful for this ‚subversive‘ act although I could do without the pollen-flight to which I‘m extremely allergic to.

How lovely! And so cheering for staff, patients and visitors alike. We currently have a seagull nesting under a tree in the supermarket garden. Protected by a fortress of upturned shopping trolleys!

Wonderful! There seems to have been a massive effort this year to help nature flourish in unexpected spots.

I think you’re right. And it tends to make life easier too, as in No Mow May.

Thanks for your efforts, Jude. This happens to me too with a couple of sites. WP, eh? Yes, lovely wild flowers!

What a lovely sight, and such a great idea for a hospital car park where many visitors, no doubt, are in need of a spirits lift!

Quite! And an easy time for the gardeners to, when they’re in season. Win-win.

Beautiful. I’ve noticed more and more places leaving space for wildflowers. Can only be a good thing.

Lovely! I must admit to a little urban guerrilla seed scattering!

Well, here I am unspamming you. Obviously urban guerrillas are indefensible to Askimet. But not to me.

Cornflowers are such happy flowers – full of laughter. I read that they symbolize delicacy, abundance, and prosperity. They are often linked to good luck, wealth, and growth. A wonderful post, Margaret!

Thanks Rebecca. I’ll stuff the garden with cornflowers immediately!

This will make you smile. I thought I’d check my spam and there were three comments in there. All of them made by me. I don’t even know what to think about that. WordPress hates me.

You write spam to yourself?? To be fair, we have to blame Akismet rather than WP for this. They have a question from me in their in box at the moment.
