If you’re hoping to put your Best Foot Forward, it’s best to have a plan, or study a map first.

For Becky’s #SquaresRenew Challenge, she’s inviting us to post square – only square – photos on the themes of Burgeoning; Moving Forward; Reconstruction; or Renewal
How true! I love that quayside, Margaret, especially your long view down the Tyne.

Thanks Jo. Your former stamping ground is a favourite place of mine.

Maps ARE good and a plan is essential. Love your photos are you using your camera or have you transitioned to the phone? For me it’s the phone… have a fabulous Friday!

Thanks Clay. I use a mix of camera and phone, but these days only take my camera if taking photos is the object of the expedition. Happy Saturday!

I love maps. And now I’ve finally figured out when I’m on an unfamiliar trail to take a PICTURE of the darn map before I head out so I have it if I need it!

I’m so glad you have commented Rebecca, because now I can tell you. I haven’t been able to comment on your last two posts. This is a problem that has come up intermittently with several bloggers whom I follow, and now it’s your turn. You haven’t changed any of your settings have you? WP – the blogging platform that passeth all understanding… Oh! And thanks by the way!

I’ve had trouble seeing your post in the WP feed at times. But I also get your notifications by email, and I track you down. ; ) How often do you change your password? Or we can just say the AI is taking over the platform…

I don’t change my password often enough. But I DID comment on your post this afternoon. Just off to change my password….

You did, you did. Thank you.

Hi Margaret, I just had something very odd happen. The article I am writing for next Tuesday about WP AI now has a comment on it, although it’s unpublished. And it says you “liked” it. So odd because it’s unpublished still.

Now then. I have seen an exceedingly short post about AI from you. I neither liked nor commented on it as it was so short there didn’t seem to be anything to say! What IS going on?

I’ve just looked at my email. I was notified by email at 18.17 BST about a new post from you, and as I said, it was one sentence long. Now if I click the link to open the post up it does that ‘Oops! There is no post’ thing….

great shots, and I am all for using an actual map as I get to know my new town – on Tuesday the map found me a wonderful new circular walk of 6 miles

I used to love exploring towns and cities without the use of a map. You do end up in some strange (and sometimes very dodgy) places though!

On the whole I prefer jumping onto buses (if I have some kind of pass) to see where they spirit me off to.

A friend and I used to go to the train station when we lived in Germany and catch the first train to wherever it was going. We got to know Köln very well!

I like the bridge in the background! Maps are great, but with Google maps and advanced GPS systemsI guess our use of them have changed.

Give me a map every time! Such fun to pore over, and get the bigger picture.

How odd, at no time today did I publish it because it is unfinished, yet you saw it. I took a screenshot of where it said you had “liked” it. A bit Orwellian.

Aagh. And have you had the experience I’ve had, about talking about a product (a camera say) with a view to buying one, not writing anything about it on line, yet then receiving relevant adverts. We don’t have Alexa or anything in the house ….

Yes, I have. No Alexa in our house either. I don’t use Siri on my phone ever.
