Last week, I showed you a rather characterful shuttered window I’d spotted in a French village. Many of you really liked it, so I’m showing it again in my featured photo, but in colour this time, Which version do you prefer?
While we’re about it, here are a few more shots from Siran, most of which include the odd window, or has-been window.

Very nice photos of windows, I particularly like the first photo in the series

I often plump for monochrome but those faded colours are so subtle I’m choosing today’s version.

Thank you. It’s going to rain. Every single day. Probably all day … But cuddles come as standard!

The colour of weathered painted wood adds a new dimension to the photo.

That shot works well in both colour and monochrome but I’m leaning towards colour as it emphasises the faded aging look.

I’m with the majority in preferring this version. The harmonious colours are delightful. It’s a work of art and I’d happily have it on my wall. Better still, be able to walk past that window regularly. But then, if that was possible, would I cease to see how lovely it is…

I suppose you would cease to notice it. That would be a shame, wouldn’t it?

My kind of window. Colour is my favourite.

I prefer the colour version, and I loved the tree arch. The signs on the wall made me smile. They seem quite random, or is that just me?

I think they’re fairly random. Yes, the tree arch is lovely, isn’t it?

Absolutely love this one Margaret – I think the color shows its age and adds to its character.

ooooo, I can’t decide if I like the window in monochrome, or color. Either way it has a lot of character.

Doesn’t it? A century or three of seeing the world will have done that for it.

Black and white or colours, they are both beautiful. I think what makes it hard to choose in this case is that the colours are not so vibrant.

I guess it’s the understated colour and lack of vibrancy which made it sing for me.

That is definitely a good point.
