I glanced up from checking my emails twenty minutes ago, and this is what I saw.

You have to seize the moment. In half an hour it’ll be raining- a proper deluge with fat splashy drops tumbling relentlessly down for the rest of the day (just like yesterday). So I went for a mini-walk.

Just in time. Now it’s like this – and becoming more sombre by the minute.

For Johnbo’s Cellpic Sunday
Shepherds’ warning for sure! I’m just back from my morning walking during which I’ve had one eye on the sky (and my weather app).

You have to choose the right app for the day in my experience. By playing the field you can often get a better forecast … though not better weather 😉

What a lovely sky, shame about the fat splashy drops to come

Will it ever end? Shall we can see if we can find a Sunshine app?

It is a standing joke here for a long while that my app always suggests the weather be fine in three days’ time. There is always going to be sunshine in three days’ time. Said app has abandoned this approach in recent weeks. Rain icon is on permanent repeat 🌧🌧🌧🌧 Ah well, umbrellas to the ready … ⛱

And three days hence, like tomorrow, never comes.

Thanks, Elke. It just felt like the only good cheer of the day. It’s miserable now.

I’m still sniffling and aching (so far, luckily, no coughing) so even nice weather couldn’t entice me to go outside. I’m glad you enjoyed your walk.

It was only a walk-let! Hope you’re less achy already.

Looks like another day by the fire for you. Here, in the upstate corner of South Carolina, we’ve transitioned from a very dry summer and fall (seven inches under) to a series of wet weekends. About the time you were taking your walk we had a thunderstorm; most unusual for winter. The Christmas parade organizers are about to loose their minds.

So much is having to be cancelled here on account of the weather. I feel so sorry for the organisers.

A lovely sunrise! A shame about the rain later, and yes, we have it here too 🌧☔

We have our fingers crossed for dry weather tomorrow evening as we have tickets for the Christmas lights at Kew!

Oh, wonderful! The last day we spent at Kew was unremittingly awful, weather wise. But we still enjoyed it

We’re getting that rain during the night or early hours of the morning. Sunny ish now, but a fierce wind. Still I managed to get some gardening done yesterday.

No chance here. Unless I did it at 8 a.m.

Lovely Margaret! Good on you for seizing the moment! As I look out my window this morning it’s a glorious, sunny day but the forecast is for downpours so I’m about to follow your lead and catch the sun while it’s with us! Happy Sunday to you – wishing you a lovely week.
