This week, for the Lens-Artists Challenge, Sofia invites us to focus on primary colours: red, yellow and blue. Let’s keep it simple and do just that. Click on any image to enlarge it.

The header image comes from the floor of a room at Tate Liverpool. It’s Jim Lambie’s: Zobop 1999.
A simple but great idea. I’ve become a bit obsessed with post boxes so I’m ok for red, but blue skies have been lacking! The North Sea photo is particularly good.
Great blocks of colour with some quirky choices. Looking at these colour posts I have come to a conclusion that primary colours make us happy. Well they do me. ♥️💛💙
They absolutely do! As it happens, the weather is good today. But there have been many days this summer when primary colours were de rigeur to replace the absent sunshine.
Some really clever shots here Margaret! I love the one of your granddaughter at the red window, the bubbles on the South Bank and the car wash – such a great idea for an image! And of course I recognised the yellow street art from Brick Lane 🙂
A wonderful collection of colourful delights Margaret. That Staithes Gorse reminded me of short stays in a small family hotel there. All main courses were caught, or shot, by the owner and all milk, eggs, vegetables, and bread travelled less than a couple of hundred yards! We never ate so richly before, or since!
Wow Margaret – GREAT job on this one. Amazing array of beautiful and colorful images. Must say the colorful floor is a scene-stealer! (along with your red granddaughter😊)
The floor would give me a headache! Jim Lambie is from Glasgow, we have a pathway near the Barrowland which is strips with the names and dates of bands who played there. It’s multicoloured too, but much more restful.
Well, that’s interesting. Thanks so much. I couldn’t leave a comment on your post, but Lambie’s more restrained earlier effort seems to fit in well here.
Wow! What a full gallery of primary colors and their combinations! Wonderful. You knocked it out of the park with this one (or is ‘knocked it for six’ the cricket equivalent?).
These are brilliant, Margaret!

Your granddaughter looks like a little Mona Lisa, Margaret. Love the Brick Lane street art, and I really must go to Valencia… or Ripon!

She’s the English one, that granddaughter, and quite the little Diva. Yes, come to Ripon!

Love these collections. The mood evoked by each colour is so evident when presented like this. Sometimes (oftentimes) simple is best.

Very German (orderly, sorted) and brilliant. But that floor though – not to be treaded on when tipsy or feeling unwell!

Don’t worry. You feel tipsy – though not unwell – when you venture onto it.
