November was for the most part mild (and rainy. And windy. And unpleasant). Until the very last week. This shot from the bedroom window yesterday pointed out fairly forcibly that winter has arrived.

Looks pretty much the same up here in Scotland, Margaret. Winter has arrived. I’m clutching my hot cup of tea and hope for the best…

That’s all we can do I think.

You’ve captured the cold in that shot. It snowed here in Cornwall yesterday. Thwarted a few plans but it was very beautiful.

Lovely here too – though foggy …

Ooh I’m envious. Fog is very underrated.

I can enjoy fog too. But not when it’s bitterly cold.

This winter seems very harsh already.

Yes, she shivered. It’ll sort the squelchy walking out though!

This is true! Crunchy underfoot is better than what I’ve been walking through this November

Freezing down here in London too, if that’s any consolation?!

Nope, not really. It was still minus 0.5 at 2.00 p.m. today!

It may be a bit chilly but I do so love the skeletal bushes and trees!

I’m fond of them too. They’re very good to look upon.

Not so much for us these days. It’s unusually early this year.

Looks pretty much the same around here – cold rain. You captured it well, dreary, gray — classic November.
Thanks for the reminder. Didn’t take any pictures the last few days – let me see ….

My goodness. Carol singers in November, even electric ones, is a bit early!

Gosh it was bitterly cold and grey yesterday. Even snow on the ground just a few miles from me, though none here. Today was bright and beautiful. I can cope with the cold, but the constant greyness and rain is very depressing. A lovely shot from a warm indoors.

Don’t kid yourself Jude. The bedroom is very cold, even with background heating. The whole house is very difficult to heat. But we’re not tempted to move, despite this.

Our house is pretty draughty in places too, despite underfloor heating, the vaulted ceiling and not very well insulated older Velux windows create cold spots. I even lit the wood burner last night!

We’ve already had the wood burner on for weeks!
