I remember seeing flamingos at Slimbridge when I was a child and being thrilled by it. So exotic for a little girl brought up in the Gloucestershire countryside! Thanks for reminding me of that.

Not wild they can’t. But the wetlands habitat at Slimbridge suits them pretty well.

Great photos, flamingos are so elegant! I’ve gone to Africa and South America to see them – and now it turns out, I could just have done a quick trip to Gloucestershire! 😆
